Q and A

Q: What is a LMHT, LMFT, & CADAC?

A: [LMHT] Licensed Mental Health Therapist | [LMFT] Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist | [CADAC] Certified Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor

Q: As my coach, what can I expect from you?

A: I tend to be very laid back and easy to get along with- I try to implement these traits while coaching. My first suggestion would be to book a consultation session to become better acquainted and discuss your needs and expectations of us working together. Once you have decided for us to work as a team, I will most likely create and customize a recovery plan. (This will vary from person to person as each journey is unique) It will act as a loose guide to keep us on track and can be edited or changed at any time. The plan will allow you to visualize your progress by checking off a completed goal or list item. I believe in celebrating the big and small wins and recognizing all types of milestones!

Q: What is a consultation session? What happens during the session?

A: A consultation session is a way to learn more about one another. I may ask you questions, but I will listen and take notes for the most part. I want to learn as much as I can about you, your needs, wishes, and goals. The reason for having the consultation session is to tell me what you want to do and how you would like to do it!

Q: What happens after the consultation session?

A: After the session, I typically suggest that you take a couple of days to decide how you want to proceed. If I will be working with you and your partner, discuss it among yourselves to see if you are on the same page. If you are in a relationship, but only one of you will be present, talk with a close friend or loved one. You also have the option of confirming at the end of the consultation. Trust your instincts. There will be no hard feelings if choose not to continue after our initial talk. It is YOUR life and YOUR recovery, and I want you to be confident, secure, and assured in whatever decision you make.

Q: What kind of clients do you work with?

A. I get asked this question often. I will work with anyone, provided I can contribute to your recovery and/or mental health in a meaningful way. I have found it easier for both of us to decide after the consultation session. I currently work with individuals, spouses, couples, families, and adolescents.

Q: Do you only work with clients that are in recovery or sober curious?

A: No. I do not limit myself to only coaching for a specific addiction. Addiction is addiction, no matter the “substance.” {Narcotics, Alcohol, Opioid Use Disorder, etc.} I also work with clients dealing with various mental health issues. {Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polar, GAD, SDD, ect}

A: The length of a coaching session is about an hour. (Sometimes shorter or longer) However, I will work to accommodate your schedule as much as possible. You can schedule the time in between each session as you like. Every other day, 2 or 3 days a week, etc.

A: Most of the sessions take place over a Zoom meeting or via phone call. You don’t have to create an account to use Zoom, and it’s free! I have an account and will send you the link to our meeting on the day of. (There are other options available for communicating, and we can discuss those during our session)

A: The cost differs from client to client. You can choose to pay before each session or on a weekly/monthly basis. We will talk about prices at the end of our chat.

A little more infomation

The client must make payment before each session unless paying in advance.

During our time working together, you can cancel your remaining sessions with no repercussions. All I ask is that you inform me so that I may clear the schedule.

After your confirmation, I will email you a document with more specific information. Please read over the paper and contact me with any questions you may have.

The first consultation is free and will last between 30 and 45 minutes.

Please keep in mind that I live on the East Coast, and my timezone is Eastern Specific. We will find a groove that works for us both.
